A message from Karen Atkinson, Market Manager:

Hello ByrdHouse Market Supporter!

Hope we’ll see you at the Market on Tuesday, October 23, 2007. Fall is just around the corner. Then Thanksgiving and Christmas. Where does the time go? Tomorrow will be a beautiful day to walk around, talk to friends and vendors and just have a great afternoon. There are only two (2) markets left for this season so we hope to see you there. There will be three (3) “pick-up” only markets. They are currently scheduled for November 13th, 27th and December 11th from 4 until 6 PM. Stayed tuned for further details.

As you know the ByrdHouse Market is the best place in town to purchase locally grown fresh produce, meats, cheese, flowers, unique plants, crafts and much, much more so pass it on to your friends, family, and co-workers. We are helping to nourish a sense of community by fostering a market place for neighbors, friends, and co-workers to meet and mingle. Don’t forget, we are open, Rain or Shine, EVERY TUESDAY 3:30 until 7PM, now through the end of October. (In the event of heavy rain, we will hold the market in the gymnasium located across Linden Street on the opposite side of the street from the Markets outdoor location).

Music for your enjoyment this week will be provided by The Acoustic Jam session in the garden. Join us, it’s free and tons of fun!

On October 30th PURE Richmond Bellydance Troupe will perform at 6:30. PURE Richmond bellydancers are made up of amateur and professional dancers and musicians who perform at charity events and benefits in order to bring peace, healing and goodwill to the community. Visit us online at www.purerichmond.com.

Also on October 30th join us for a “Tye Dye O-Rama” . Bring your own t-shirt or buy a blank one from 2 Dye 4 (starting at $5 for youth, $10 for adults) the day of the event then tie-dye it yourself for $7.00! What a bargain! Bonnie will have a sign up sheet at her booth between now and then for people to sign-up, pre-order their shirt, or to let her know you are planning to come and bring their own shirt. Or email Bonnie @ dyetodye4@yahoo.com to reserve a slot. It should be great fun!!
