4 more “limited edition” Byrd House Markets for 2007

A message from Karen Atkinson, Market Manager of the Byrd House Market:

Hello ByrdHouse Market Supporter! Looking forward to seeing you at the Market on Tuesday, November 13, 2007. There are four (4) other “pick-up” only markets currently scheduled for November 13th, 20th, 27th, and December 11th from 3:30 until 6 PM.

Join us on the market in this beautiful fall weather. How can you stand to miss all the fun and excitement!

Selling at the market this week:

Bread for the People – Cinnamon brioche loaves and plain baguettes.

CCL Farm – Free range brown eggs, chicken, beef, and pork.

Conicville Ostrich Farm – Ostrich: burger patties, breakfast sausage, sticks and jerkey; empty eggs, leather goods including boots, feathers, lotion bars, soaps, wreaths, music boxes, lamps; Lamb: burger; loin chops, boneless roasts, leg, sirloin chops; Goat: burger and loin chops. Berries: jams, jellies, syrups; Veggies: tomatoes. pumpkins, lettuce, onions.

Faith Farm – Pastured Pork – Chops, Sausage, Ribs, Bacon, Roasts; Grass-Fed Beef – Steaks, Ground Beef, Ribs, Roasts; Chicken Parts – legs, thighs, wings, breasts; Goat Cheese featuring Garlic & Chive, Black Pepper; Local Honey. We Do Not use any anti-biotics or added hormones in our feed.

Bill Heath – Okra, beets, hot peppers, bell peppers; tomatoes; tomatillos; eggplant; Hungarian peppers; butternut, acorn, spaghetti.

Koralee’s Coffee – Hot coffee, iced coffee, iced tea, sodas, canned teas, bags of coffee and snacks.

Mica Hill Farm – Fresh pressed apple cider $3.75 half gal., $5.50 gal.; Pies:$10.00 for Apple, $9.00 for pumpkin or sweet potato. Pound cake is $15.00 for whole or $8.00 half. Apples include: Rome, Staymen, Winesap, Empire and Fuji. $1.60 per pound. Local, fresh dug sweet potatoes $0.85 per pound. If you would like to order a bushel (40#) they are $25.00. Call 434-645-8409 to order your bushel. Lemon, Key Lime and Rum sauces will be available for sampling along with Homemade Caramel appleas and Caramel Dip for apples and pound cake.

Perennial Pleasures Plant Pharm – Hydrangea plants and fall bouquets.

Victory Farms – Charlie will be there brimming with the season’s bountiful choices of peppers, salad mix, lettuce heads, spinach, eggplant, tomatoes, kale, bok choi, broccoli rabe, herbs, hot peppers, carrots, beets, turnips, radishes, and napa cabbage.

There may be other Growers as well. These are the Growers that have confirmed their attendance.

The Crafters:

Pure Light Candle Company – All natural handmade soy wax candles.

Sea Shells & Beads – Jewelry designed in sterling silver, gemstones, pearls, and seashells. Sale on gemstone ornaments, candles, and wreaths.

WildWood Carver – Handcrafted bowls, spoons, and other unique items.

There may be other crafters as well but these are the only crafters that have confirmed.

Bring your children to the Market. Each week we have Storytelling in the Garden with Jane plus FREE kid’s Activities sponsored by Polka Dot Arts, the Waldorf School, St. Andrew’s Church and the Laptop Librarian.
