Ready for the VINYL CONFLICT?

Salvation Tattoo moved from 324 S. Pine to 819 W. Cary, but VINYL CONFLICT will be opening at 324 S. Pine noon this Saturday, September 13th. There will, of course, be new and used vinyl records of the punk, hardcore, metal, power pop, indie, new wave, grind, sludge, and pop punk persuasion as well as a few other things. Used and new cd\’s, tapes, dvd\’s, stickers, patches, t-shirts, and other items will be available for your consumption as well. Keep your fingers crossed, there might even be a cameo by Keith Babe\’s hot dog cart at the opening.

Does this place do much business? I went opening day and picked up a couple things but it would be nice if they would stock music that people other than scenesters in Oregon Hill listen to. I know punk and metal are trendy, but you’ll appeal to more people by carrying other genres as well.

  19. posted by Brandon at October 9, 2008 3:47 pm :

Hey rick- You should come by now, we have a lot more than just punk/metal. We’re doing fine, very good actually with much business. If you’re looking for a ton of genres then there’s always plan 9 too. Also we can special order just about anything, so if you have something in mind that you’re more than welcome to try and get us to special order it.
