Councilperson Jewell’s “Rippin’” Fundraiser

Word on the street is that, following the passing of the Downtown Master Plan, 5th District Councilperson Marty Jewell will be holding a fundraising party this Wednesday, hosted by the Ripp family.

Some background here, here, and here.

Hopefully the Downtown Master Plan will be one topic of discussion at tonight’s Oregon Hill Neighborhood Association meeting.

What an invictive tool Mr. M. Jewell is for/of Echo Harbour. He ought to be on their payroll, as an active spokesperson, so everyone knows why he is so biased. Of course all you have to do is go to a City Council and listen to him pontificate on the merits of EH and debase the bothersome NIMBY’s in Church Hill – to know where his next meal are coming from….
I wonder if EH were being built below Oregon Hill and planned to be over 120 feet tall (thus blocking the view of river and Belle Island etc.), where his loyalities might be then …. Ooops!

Remember, BEFORE being elected, Marty spoke against the Dominion Power SUP which did effect the river view from Oregon Hill.

The citizens of Oregon Hill and Church Hill need to stay together and protect the historic river views.
