Now that brick wall is gone courtesy of the fine folks building the connector road down to the parking lots.
An archaeologist inspected the brick from the demolished wall and determined that based on the mortar used it was definitely built before the civil war. I wonder if any of our corporate neighbors will ever admit that they hired the contractor that demolished the wall. Let’s hope that they don’t destroy what’s left of the historic canal when building Venture Richmond’s amphitheater!
