William Byrd celebrates the end of summer and the beginning of a new school year with our Annual Community Carnival. WBCH Executive Director, Shelia Givens, says, “Carnival provides the perfect opportunity to close out our summer programming and celebrate the start of a new school year. We are doubling our preschool enrollment this year and we look forward to welcoming all the new children and parents into the William Byrd family”.

Carnival features:
FREE meal for each attendee – hot dog, chips, drink
FREE concessions: sno-cones, popcorn, cotton candy

FREE school supplies – distributed to school age children – while supplies last

Carnival is held at 980 Idlewood Avenue, on the athletic field behind our main facility. Street parking available on Idlewood Avenue, Grayland Avenue and Cherry Street. Parking also available on the grass lawn in front of the Grace Arents Community Garden at Idlewood and Linden.
In case of inclement weather Carnival will be held inside our main facility at 224 S. Cherry Street, 4pm – 7:30pm.
