Where to find virgins: go to urban churches

Yes, the next month will be a busy one, and there are lots of other things to blog about…but in the meantime, I will try to stir up the local internetz by drawing attention to this post:

Where to find virgins: go to urban churches

The Man Who Would be Thursday opines:

…look for someone at a church in an urban area. For example, evangelicals in downtown Toronto are there because they really believe, while those in rural Alberta perhaps less so.

He also adds (and explains why):

…find yourself a cute but not spectacular 22 year old with a bachelor’s degree.

P.S. The biggest indicator that a girl is a virgin is her insistence that she wants a guy who is a virgin himself.

Patience is a Virtue – shop at the BHM for the rewards of the seasons

Fruit - Thistledown Asian Pears 8.25.09

It is all about seasons and the rhythms of nature here at the Byrd House Market. Our patience is being rewarded by the return of our delicious Gala apples, Asian pears, red and orange carrots, a variety of potatoes, onions, cruciforms and lots of greens! As we celebrate this Labor Day weekend, remember that the market vendors are always working for us to be able to enjoy our local fruits and vegetables, this is no holiday weekend for them. So…. remember to join us on Tuesday, to support the market vendors, shop, grab a bite to eat, meet friends and make new ones at the WBCH, Byrd House Market.
Activities this week: Story telling from 4 to 5 pm, Face painting from 5 to 7 pm. And a surprise child activity. And back by popular demand, music by Bean and John of the P’s & Q’s from 6 to 7 p.m.

Check our blog to see more about what the vendors are bringing to the market: http://byrdhousemarket.blogspot.com/

You’re reward is bagfuls of fresh produce and meeting some of the finest people in Richmond — our shoppers! Bands are welcome to sell CDs or swag and have a hat out for tips. If you’re interested in playing a tuesday email Laura Morand Bailey at byrdhousemarket@gmail.com
