The 1991 photos of downtown from the Virginia Penitentiary that recently appeared on the Shockoe Examiner blog prompted me to wonder if there were any views of Oregon Hill from the same vantage point.

While not exactly the same thing, this Flicker photo by Timothy Wood, taken from on top the parking deck at 3rd/Main street, may be the closest to what I was looking for and, with lots of Hollywood Cemetery trees in the background, gives Oregon Hill a small mountain town feel.
