St. Andrew’s Church is taking part in Oregon Hill Halloween festivities.

St. Andrew’s Church is now cosponsoring the First Annual Oregon Hill Jack O’Lantern Contest. More details forthcoming, but they will be assisting with judging and promoting the contest. With their help, the grand prize has increased to $50 and there will be runner up prizes also. Remember, this is only open to Oregon Hill residents (that includes student renters) and click here for the full rules. Get those photo entries in!

On Tuesday, October 4, the Feast Day of St. Francis, we will be out on the steps of St. Andrew’s Church for the blessing of the animals. Stop by anytime between 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm with your beloved pet companions for a blessing. Treats for everyone!

Though we didn’t have any sightings of Patricia Arquette or Rainn Wilson, St. Andrew’s Church enjoyed hosting some of the cast and crew of the movie Permanent for their catered lunch yesterday. They were filming in Hollywood Cemetery and other nearby locations.
