I came bombing down that hill, keeping a lookout for cars, but not for fat little semi-aquatic rodents.
First he tried to outrun my front wheel. I swerved to avoid him, and then he jumped off the road & into the grass. I heard him chattering at me as I climbed the hill. He was pretty pissed off.

I’ll be dammed. I saw my very own beaver tonight over at Ethyl Corp.
I am hearing that there is a small family of deer over in Hollywood also. One showed up in the Holly Street playground the other day. Imagine if humans disappeared a la Will Smith’s NYC in I Am Legend.
