Neighbor says:
For the last few days I have had a female, dark tiger stripe cat living on my deck. She seems way to clean and friendly to be an outdoor cat. I am on the 400 block of Pine…
So…whose cat?
Rev. Turner:
“We will try again this Friday hopefully without rain.

BURGLARY
7/12/11 7:45 p.m. – 9:50 p.m.
135 S. Cherry St.
A laptop computer, a camera and an LG radio were stolen from the residence.
(As I did with Issue #1, I hope to follow up more on Issue #2 soon, as they are both related.)
Post-street cleaning, Cherry Street neighbor and upstanding citizen Jimmy Blackford took it upon himself to excavate some grass clumps from corner curb areas. In these pictures, he’s over at southeast corner of Laurel and Idlewood. If you see Jimmy, buy him a cool one please.
Just a reminder that Adopt a Tree Program applications are being accepted from July 1 – Sept 1.
If you talk to neighbors, please be sure to remind them of their commitment to water the tree for the first two growing seasons.
The required tree care information is on the application form at http://www.richmondgov.com/PublicWorks/forms/applicationAdoptATree.pdf
Scenes from the Oregon Hill Keep It Cool event at the Jacob House this past Saturday:
One part of it was a presentation on the varying temperatures of materials.
Another portion was a small workshop on adding shade cloth to exterior window screens. Imagine how much air conditioning energy could be conserved if every Oregon Hill house used shade cloth.
Thanks to Commonwealth Solar for lending their expertise.
If you missed this event, there is already talk of holding another one soon.
